“Technology does not run an enterprise, relationships do.” ~ Patricia Fripp
The average small business owner does not have time to devote to social media and to really do it justice. An occasional tweet or blog post is not enough to develop relationships. As I’m sure everyone in this field does, I “study” social media every day. One pretty much has to: there is SO MUCH to learn in this rapidly developing field and in many instances, yesterday’s tips and tools are considered old news. Do you, as a small business owner, really have time to keep up with it all?
The savvy social media enthusiasts will tell you that there is no need to follow ALL social media channels (i.e. Twitter, YouTube, Facebook) and that to try and do so can lead to ineffectual results. Spread yourself too thin and you’ll fall behind. You’re better off instead to select channels best suited to reflect the service(s) you provide.
As (your) social media Buzzmeister I would recommend you focus on two, three or at the most four of the following “channels” in addition to your WordPress site, of course:
The illustration to the left cleverly characterizes each channel.
As (your) Virtual Assistant I can provide any number of services such as:
- Create accounts and establish your profiles in any of the channels listed above
- Evaluate existing accounts and make recommendations to enhance
- Manage your accounts (via Hootsuite)
- Create/post relevant content
- Engage with customers/potential clients
- Analyze data re: social media strategy
Certainly you will need/want to keep a finger on the pulse of your own social media platform but my services will enhance your efforts and more importantly, SAVE YOU TIME.
